There is so much to do and just not enough time to be a single parent doing it. Scouts, Brownies, House Cleaning, Working, Shopping, Wrapping, Decorating. Ugg!
I wish I could snap my fingers and have some things done at home sometimes. We need to do so many things prior to the holidays and there just isn't time.
Tomorrow is Brownies, Saturday is decorating the church, Sunday is church and Breakfast with Santa and Advent by candlelight, Monday is church, Tuesday is Reveal day at church, Wednesday is Advent services, Friday is Brownies.
We still need to put up our tree. We still need to clean the house to put up the tree. We still need to get the Christmas stuff out of storage to do that.
He probably will not be home this weekend. He has done half a day of driving and sitting due to no trailer available. We desperately need the money. Why does it seem that the closer to holidays the more people want money? I cannot wait until we don't have to stretch each penny out of every single paycheck. Not about frivolous spending, but living comfortably again. Being able to spend money on steak instead of hot dogs. Sigh....One day in the future...
Another weekend is fast approaching. Another weekend with all the kids at the house. Another weekend with too much stuff to do to try to relax. Another weekend seemingly alone.
Sighhhh

Post Thanksgiving Reflection
Where to begin...
Our family is very thankful for my hubby's company for ensuring him being home for Thansgiving and the weekend following. We spent our first Thanksgiving with my step-daughters. Thanksgiving is DQ's holiday. It was so much fun. We made cookies and Canolli's (STAY AWAY THEY WERE TERRIBLE), turkey and all the fixin's. My kitchen was a mess!!!
The Canolli's were awful. I think I needed more wine Wednesday night. I will have to get together with Aunt R to make them for Christmas. I hope everyone out there found something to be thankful for.
A girl in our scout troop; her dad left to drive truck last week and her mom was so very sad. I wish all companies somehow made it so everyone got some family time on the holidays. Again I am so thankful hubby's company does (so far) get him home on weekends and holidays.
Until next time Adios!!

Thanksgiving eve and Cannoli's
Ahhh the wife of a truck driver's life...Got an unexpected call today from the DQ. Come get the kids she has something else to do. He is gone and I have the kids. Fine and dandy I guess. Tomorrow is her holiday......Not that I am going to complain; I love them kids; it is just ahhh well, I had so much to do today that didn't get done yet.
We are having family over for dinner tomorrow. The house has the tornado called children happen to it today. Dinner surely won't make itself and neither will the Cannoli's. Poor Auntie R. Had to call her tonight at 10 pm going "HELP ME!!" as you can see, it is almost midnight and I still have to finish. I needed to give my poor arm a rest. It feels like it will fall off any minute.
I think it is time for some more wine?!?!
Happy Thanksgiving if there is anyone out there reading this. Our family has so much to be thankful for this year. I personally am thankful for healthy children, friends, family, and that my family is going to be financially stable soon. I hope everyone else finds things to be thankful for...Adios!

What Do You Get For $10
My hubby had a weird encounter with a "Lot Lizard". He was on his way to drop his load off and stopped at a rest area to rest a little. After crawling in back and dozing off, he was awakened by a tapping on the window. There was a lady there. He cracked the window and asked what? She wanted to come in to ummm help him out. She started lifting her shirt right out in the open. He told her to MOVE ON and Get away from his truck. She then went to the next truck. I guess truckers must be good money to work for. Unfortunately, my trucker is married and he carries no cash...
I was laughing so hard when he told me this. Was pretty funny.
Will meet up with him later after conferences tonight. Got to keep the hookers away.....Quickie a day keeps the hookers away.

Hot chicks and truckers
Funny how his daily run brings him right by our home.
I didn't see him until after I took the girls to their respective places. I was driving to work on my normal route, and low and behold what do I see??? His company's truck a few cars in front of me. I called him and asked what trailer number he had and it was him.
I proceeded to tease him about hot chicks flashing truckers while on the road. Needless to say, it was rush hour traffic and he got thru the light before I did.
It sure was nice to see him tonight when I got home even if it was only for about 30 minutes. I miss him so much.

HIP HIP HORRAY!!!
Looks like someone upstairs in heaven heard my prayers (or tears). Hubby dearest got great news!!!!
Looks like his dispatcher needs to fill some dedicated runs for the next few weeks. Well one week at least. Looks like for the next week or so he will be home nightly. GREAT NEWS!!!
I haven't told the kids yet though just in case. I guess someone who normally does this run is having some sort of procedure or something so he is unable to work at least for a week (maybe longer will have to see).
I am just grinning from ear to ear!!
Till next time........

Does it ever get easier?
I feel as though I have aged a few years since he started driving. I hardly sleep at night. I feel even more tired every day. Things have not gotten easier on my side. I miss him so much. When he is home, things are great. When he is not home it sucks.
Chicky is going thru separation anxiety again. She hasn't done that since she was a wee tot. She wants to sleep in our bed at night Uggg. She misses daddy terribly. When he is home, all the kids fight for his attention.
I think we need a vacation....

HE'S HOME!
I am so happy. So glad. I missed him so much.
The kids are up his rear end. They missed him so much too.
He leaves again Sunday (well Monday at 3 am). Uggg
I wish it wasn't this hard.

Halloween reflection...
Halloween was very different this year. He has been here for every Halloween since I can remember. We missed him. Two of the kids were sick and could not go out because they had a fever.
We went to a friends Halloween party. We had a blast. The kids had fun and got a ton of candy lute. We will have candy until the cows come home that is for sure.
I hope he makes it home for Thanksgiving. I cannot believe how terribly upset I was he didn't come home this weekend. I knew it was a possibility all along, but it just sucked...SUCKED BIG TIME!!
