I just don't get it. The economy is pretty crappy and people are, well people are broke. Myself included. I have a baby sitter. She is broke. She is a stay at home mom. I pay her decent money. I provide diapers, wipes, formula, baby food; everything. She is hot to get paid every week. Just the other day she was going on and on about being broke...They bought a fish tank off of Craigs.list for $100 because it was a steal. I cannot afford food and she can buy a fish tank. They just redid the inside of their house. Repainted, ripped out the carpet and put new carpet. In the kitchen, hall and living room put down laminate floor! And again, my freezer echos. She came from living on welfare as a child and not having food for snacks and such. We have canned food, and our church helps with commodit.ies so we don't starve. Our menu consists of a lot of pasta food while they eat steaks and such.
Back to the story...my son's boy scout troop was offered a great opportunity. To work as a not for profit organization and get a fund raising activity. Paying the troop for each person who works $10 an hour for working the festival. On a weekend directing traffic to parking spots! You know the flag people. Apparently this work is above her. Apparently, it makes more sense to complain about being broke and not get off your behind and do something about it. I'm sick and tired of hearing about it already.
Sit on your big behind and eat your steaks while complaining about no money while I work my tail off flagging traffic so my children can eat hot dogs and Ramon noodles and my house doesn't get foreclosed on and my utilities don't get shut off.

insurance hell
Superdad has an appointment Saturday. They just called me to tell me he won't have health insurance after midnight tonight. I called our insurance carrier. Indeed everyone except Miss G and Miss M will have their insurance terminated at midnight tonight. Including myself! I am beyond distraught. Does this mean I am going to be out of a job? Who really knows at this point. Martha (boss) sent a crazy email to me Tuesday indicating my flex time is no longer acceptable. For the last 6 years has been arrive between 8-9am and leave after 8 hours. Apparently she got a bug up her butt and informed me I need a solid start time. Fine by me. And now today I called and found out my insurance is up at midnight. After a call into our HR department I will find out what is going on. According to them we do have coverage.

Quiet weekend?
For someone who doesn't have any money and is always on the rampage about money and back support, someone is going on vacation during Superdaddy's weekend. Un-freaking believable. Lets hope when they do come back over, they don't have head pets again. Supposedly, they got the cooties from my children. The girls however, told a story of how their big brother and sister had it and Miss S as well. Well we haven't seen Miss S since March and before that was almost 2 years.
Superdaddy will hopefully be home this weekend and we can get stuff done. His work truck needs to go to the shop again for the air again. Hopefully they will fix it so his poor hot sweaty self will chill out. His dispatch is messing around with his load ending times this week. They have been set pretty much to the same schedule all along and this week he might run out of drive time to make it back home due to them switching it after he is rolling.
Ex-wife for sale!!! Any takers? C'mon ya know you want one. Help a friend out!

Not good
Superdaddy hasn't spoken to me in almost 2 days. This weekend is camping with the boy scouts so I will not see him all weekend. I think between Bubba's legal trouble and the pregnancy things are not looking to get better any time soon.
I am sick and tired of being so damn stressed out.
At work, I work for 4 surgeons. There is 3 other ladies that insist I am their secretary as well. They keep on dumping shit in my email for me to do for them and then running to my boss when I don't drop my surgeon's shit to do theirs. One even made a comment "Here is more stuff I need to dump on you YIPPEE!!" Yeah anyways. Just had to vent before my body self destructs from depression and stress.

Throw me a life jacket -
I'm drowning!!
It has not quit raining at our home. My van engine took a crap Wednesday before Easter, the Omni still has not ran since we got it. We keep dumping money in it for mom. Hell it practically has been rebuilt under the hood. The whole cooling system, head gasket, valve cover gasket and such. The monster truck Superdaddy got this weekend died on the way home. Simple coil apparently, but still no keys to drive it so we need a locksmith, a windshield, turn signals (they aren't working), tune up, oil change, trans fluid changed. Barney lovingly named because of the size and color has been awesome to us. It has been in a hurricane 3 1/2 years ago, gone to Mt. Rushmore on the family vacation; hell we have doubled the miles on it in 6 1/2 years. I was thinking to myself how impressed I was that it has over 166,000 miles on it and we haven't had any major problems. Then as I pulled into the driveway, the belt started squeaking. Not good, but not bad. The idler tension pulley broke off into the engine and it needs a oil sending unit replaced. Basically Barney is immobile until further notice. If there was a bridge close, and it wasn't raining, and it wasn't 30 degrees, I would jump. I throw in the towel and wave the white surrender flag. I am not coping!!
Not to mention we are going camping with girl scouts this weekend and I need Barney!

Karma the Bitch
Today was supposed to be a great day off. Today I had to take Miss J to the doctor. She keeps having sore throats. She will have her tonsils out right after school lets out this year. On the way to pick Chicky up from school, the car started making this "noise". One I have never heard before. Great I was thinking. I forgot to check the oil. No dice, I dumped 2 quarts of oil in and it is successfully 1.5 quarts too much. Seems I blew a rod or better yet a lifter. Karma the bitch bit me for all the evil things I have said about PIA and MIL this past week.
Since mom's truck got jacked, she has used Superdaddy's van. Now my van is shot. Looks like I better get better walking shoes and learn to car pool. Good thing the white fluffy cold stuff is going away soon. May have to jump my fat ass on a bicycle and loose some weight.

Look Out!
This weekend found me keeled over in bed with the flu. Friday was Miss J's birthday. She is a whopping 10. Where has the time gone? I will dedicate a post to her tomorrow. And then today is Miss G's birthday. She will have her own post on Tuesday.
As predicted by my crystal ball, PIA did the most foolish; ignorant thing this weekend. Remember last Sunday Miss S came over? Remember Superdaddy seen PIA's truck in MIL's driveway? This weekend PIA had Miss G's birthday sleepover. She had Miss J and Chicky spend the night. When I picked them up PIA stopped me at the door and told me how horrible Miss J was. How absolutely disrespectful she was and how she was a big ass liar. I was so shocked to say the least. Miss M and Chicky were so happy that Miss S was there. I didn't see her though. Through talking on the way home, it was revealed MIL was there for the party and what not. She had heart failure because Miss S was at our home and the bitch had my husband's family at her home for G's birthday. Had I known MIL would be there, my girls would not have gone there. In fact, I have decided, that PIA and MIL will not be around my girls at all. Superdaddy needs to try to get the kids away from her. She has taught them to lie and be deceitful; exactly the kind of people this country needs for the future.

Built in baby sitter?
Superdaddy snuck into the house this morning and scared the crap out of me. I am a compulsive snooze hitter in the am. I hate mornings especially cold mornings. I hit snooze and my trusty guard dog stayed by the bed. About 2 minutes later, she is wining and yelping. I open my eyes to yell at her to go back to bed and someone was in the bedroom. He scared the crap out of me.
Damn guard dog should have warned me better.
Why do the kids always get the short end of the stick? PIA is such a looser. Sad to say. Tonight is girl scouts. Tonight the girl's have planned a Thanks giving dinner party to invite their folks to. They made invitations, planned a menu and such. Tonight the girls are collecting canned food items for each person attending to give to a local food bank as a way to give back. Today is a very special day for them. I got a 16 lb turkey for my dinner and 16 lb ham for girl scout dinner.
PIA called me this am. Why you ask? To tell me she will not be there at dinner tonight. What time can she drop the girls off? To tell me that she is not feeling well and that we will have the girls this weekend as well as next weekend. I have a scrapbook crop to go to that I got a sitter for my girls so I could go. Bubba and superdaddy are going to try to bring us home some food from the woods this weekend and next weekend. I will have good quality time with the girls for the next two weeks. Like I don't have anything better to do than watch the girls so she can go do whatever the hell it is she does without the kids. Hell her first and second born could babysit. Just Halloween, she would not let the girls come because Superdaddy was not going to be there. What the hell is this and next weekend about? TORTURE SUPERMOMMY?
Dilemma....what do I do with the girls seeing how i will not have my kids this weekend?
Oh yeah, and it appears that brother in law (MR. J) will be here this weekend with FIL.
Lord help me.

Crystal Ball Anyone?
Read a few posts back and notice a DQ post. Officially DQ is now PIA as in (Pain in the Rump). I predicted since she lost her job, they would move again soon. Well apparently it has happened. About 2 weeks ago (around post time or before). The kids have now been in 4 schools in 4 years. 5 houses in 4 years. She only lived in the said house for 8 1/2 months. Give me a break. She told Superdaddy that it was a 3 bedroom low income apt that she moved into because it was more affordable. OK I'll give her that, but turns out one of the girls talked...it doesn't have enough bedrooms. Miss M and PIA's 2nd born share a room, PIA and Miss G share a room and PIA's 1st born sleeps on the couch. 1st born is only boy.
She needs to hit rock bottom and let the kids grow roots somewhere even if it is without her.

Sometimes one just cannot win
I understand that the way I raise my children is not the way everyone raises their children. I totally understand and appreciate the differences. My children are not used to being outside from the time they wake up til the time they get picked up. When they are outside, 85% of the time either superdaddy or myself are out with them. Not that we don't trust our kids, but lets face it times have changed since we were kids.
NEWS FLASH!
The girls and I talked, apparently, at the substitute babysitters house, they are not allowed inside. Even if it rains. Ok I understand she is just a substitute sitter, and that being outside will not kill my children or cause them emotional scaring. Fine I can deal with that. How would one go about telling a friend of say....15 years, that you don't like the way they treat your children when they are there? I never would even think about doing that to her children. I mean, I pay her to watch them so it helps them out seeing how she is a stay at home mother and I send over food (like 2 boxes of cereal that I know will not get eaten in 5 days and lunch). I seriously am considering withdrawing my children from her home and asking NF to watch them as I know she treats my children better. You read that right NF. WTF?

Dilemma
So how would one go about telling a "new friend" (NF) that I think NF is full of shit?
Background:
Said NF is actually the wife of superdaddy's friend. She is a nice gal. In recent past, NF was addicted to pain pills. She used to get them from work or something or other. I never allowed myself to become a close friend with her. Being the good mother that I think I am, I kept my distance for a long time. As in almost 5 years. In recent past like 6 months or so, NF confided in me that she is trying to kick habit and make friends and learn to live life without narcotic glasses on. She is trying to learn to enjoy life with the boy being sober.
Not the immediate trusting person I am (had an addicted hubby in past who overdosed and passed away), I kept conversations to telephone; always keeping purse in eye contact with minimal cash and carry as I have been burned in past with ex. NF's hubby is superdaddy's best friend from school. Everyone knows she had a drug problem. They (NF and hubs) have many issue because of drug using and that is really their business. They have a boy now who is almost 3. My children adore him.
Problem:
Recently, they have been going to VBS with the kids and I. Her and I have been talking and haning out somewhat, I have became more of a friend, and less cautious. Monday things were well. The boy had so much fun at church. She was a class helper and seemed to enjoy herself as well. Tuesday, she watched the girls for me while I went to work. When I picked them up, I noticed that her eyes were like watery almost glassy. Like she was high. She got a shower and went to church with us. Well, she was nodding out in church like in the middle of everything. Like eating, and activities. We were painting and she nodded out. Nodding out as in like my ex-POS used to do on heroin. That is really the sickest thing I have ever witnessed in my life and quite frankly, I had flashbacks. I will never forget witnessing that. My stomach churned. I know her choice is not heroin. It is prescription vicoden, zanax, and zoma's. It was still really disturbing to witness. NF claimed it was being exhausted from being up early watching my kids, and going to bed late Monday.
Fast forward to Wednesday. NF called to ask if I can take her boy to church so she can finish cleaning her house. NF told me when she called that her and hubs got into a huge argument about money and her not working. She is a stay at home mom and like most places, the economy sucks and money is tight everywhere. To add to that, the house was messy from her having all the kids there for the day and when I got there to get them, we went right to church. I agreed to take the boy so she can clean up before he got home from work. Her eyes were still kind of watery/glassy.
How do I tell her I think she is full of shit about being exhausted and I think she is using? I think if her hubs was bitching about money and such, she probably took money from the bank for her fix like she has in past. It really isn't my business but I really believe in my heart she has her poker face on and I don't want to play poker. Lets face it, I am constantly busy with life, work, kids, single parenting, church, scouts and I don't nod out or have glassy eyes when I am exhausted. There is always something to do and never enough time. I don't want to be around someone who is using. Nor do I want my kids around it.

DQ does it again
Ya know what really pisses a step-mom off? A DQ who tries to bribe her child. You heard me right. BRIBE her child!
So the girls were supposed to come on Sunday and DQ decided to keep them until Monday night. The girls will have to miss a day of VBS (Vacation bible school). She told us she was taking the girls to work on Monday that is why they couldn't come Sunday. Whatever. So she calls and tells me she has to pick the girls up then bring them over. I thought they went to work with her? Lying bitch.
So she pulls up in my drive and Miss G comes in all smiles and hugs and such. Miss M however is crying yet again. She tells her while I am standing there that when she comes home she will take her to get ice cream. She tells her if daddy doesn't want her over, she will come pick her back up. Like superdaddy don't want to see his kids. She tells her call me later and I will come back to pick you up if you want. DQ tells Miss M she misses her too much when she is not there. Once Miss M is at our house she is just fine. There is no more crying after the first night. It amazes me how much of a basket case she has made Miss M she is 6. Rather pathetic that DQ is so dependent on a 6 year old's feeling sorry for her mom.
See Miss G has always been a daddy's girl and Miss M has always been a mamma's girl. Fine and dandy, but for crying out loud, you should not use your children as pawns in your pathetic life. Especially as emotional weapons.

Not a good way to start the day
Argggg That is all I can say. Supperdaddy went to leave for work this morning and damn it someone broke into the vehicles and stole his laptop bag with laptop in it, his Cobra CB radio, Booster antenna, MP3 player, DVD player, and cell phone charger. They left his damn log book and training manual that was in the bag for Christ sake. The laptop isn't even paid off yet :(
So I am awake at 6 am to a not so happy superdaddy bitching about not finding his bag. FUN TIMES I TELL YA.
So now, I am no so patiently waiting for the police to show up. ARGGGG
On another note, today bubba is making his confirmation at Church. He has worked long and hard and has finally made it. He just came home from leader training with scouts yesterday and boy was he whipped.

Liars never prosper
Ya know what is embarrassing: going shopping and them refusing your check.
So Miss J and Chicky and I went to the local grocery store last night. Knowing if I wrote a check, it would not cash before direct deposit hit today. So along we went, filling up the basket with necessities and a few perks. The kids wanted junk food and I kept telling them I didn't have enough money for that this week. Well nosey bitch worker must have eavesdropped while she was putting rejected merchandise on the shelves. So long story short, the cashier rang it all up and decided it needed a check approval. She turned away and was talking to manager or whoever who said I'll be right back. When she came back, she informed me my bank was closed (like no shit it was 8pm) and she could not verify funds for my check?!?!?!?
My check was for $76.83. I was like excuse met? I wrote a check here 3 days ago for $96.71 and they didn't have to "verify funds". Apparently, she felt the need to check to see if I had money in the bank and my bank was closed already.
Said "manager" was nosey bitch putting rejected merchandise back on shelf. I hope she has to eat powdered mac n cheese for dinner one day instead of steak and tuna salad and watermelon. For dinner last night, we had powdered mac n cheese. Ewww. Kids don't mind but me I think EWWWW!!!
Oh yeah, kids don't even have milk or bread today for food. Looks like Eggs for lunch until I can get to the store during banking hours or a different store for groceries.
Did I tell you I hate powdered Mac n cheese?

Oh yeah, kids don't even have milk or bread today for food. Looks like Eggs for lunch until I can get to the store during banking hours or a different store for groceries.
Did I tell you I hate powdered Mac n cheese?

It's Gotta Get Better Soon
What happens to a person who is emotionally spent? Down in the dumps? Fed up at work? And Financially Broke?
Just when things start to go in the right direction, they spiral out of control in the wrong direction. Things have got to get better. Something has got to give soon. Capital One can kiss my rear end. We are so screwed right now.

Should have been an donor pregnancy
So time to vent.
So 14 years ago I found out I was pregnant. I told POS. So he promised to do for the child like his father did not do for him...blah blah blah.
Fast forward to 2007.
So for the last 3 weeks, Bubba has made plans with POS to visit and do things. First weekend POS had to work (not that I see fruits of his labor). Next weekend, POS forgot and went up north snowmobeling instead. This weekend, POS told Bubba he couldn't come over because he had to take his step-daughter to the daddy daughter dance that only lasts 3 hours.
I am so tired of seeing Bubba with a sad face because of being second fiddle to his new family with his wife. Bubba knows that her dad died and don't fault her for that, but he faults POS for doing this shit. Bubba knows how long a dance is. And knows it does not last for an entire weekend.
Having kids certainly did not make POS grow up. He just keeps depositing his ummm man seeds and having more kids. Bubba is 13, next one is 10, then he gets married, she has an 8 year old daughter. They have a son who is 3 and a new baby. Of course he doesn't have time for the older kids who don't live with him.
I know for a fact that he doesn't see Bubba or the 10 year old. The 10 year old sees my son all the time. He should have just been an anonymous sperm donor with no contact.

High School Again
Why can't grown up people act grown up?
I know there is a time and a place to not grow up but give me a flibbing break. A place of employment is not the place to act like you are in High School again!!!
Situation is this...
A group of people at work seem to think that the 8 hour rule does not apply to them. We sort of have flex time and an honor system for time keeping. The only requirement is this...Work your 8 hours or use vacation time and someone has to be present to answer the phone from 8 am until 5 pm NO EXCEPTIONS!
A bunch of people claimed they worked 8 on their timesheets and left like 3 hours early the Friday before Xmas. Well hot damn if they didn't get their panties in a twist when their pay was docked only a mere 2 hours. Instead of going to the time keeper and discussing it with her, they are stomping around and being pissy at work.
Personally I am sick and tired of hearing it already. I didn't say crap when that phone call came in at 4:45 that Friday and had to stay until 5:30 (without overtime pay).
Ok I feel better now.

The latest Bull
Some people do not realize just how much their actions and lack of actions affect the children. Some do not understand that even though their child may not say it, they see and hear everything. Even children seek respect and in return give respect.
Interesting insight.
On new years eve, Miss Gwas trying to call DQ to wish her happy new years. DQ wasn't home. New years day, she wasn't home either (she said she had to work). Miss G was crying pretty good. DQ don't spend time with them and drops them off to visit so she can go out with her friends all the time. They were supposed to get picked up by 2. At 2, DQ called to say she would be there at 4. At 4 she called and didn't make it to get them until 4:30. DQ was with her ex-bf and didn't feel the necessity to get the girls at the time promised to them.
NEWS FLASH!!!!
DQ is moving in with her ex boyfriend that the kids hate and is apparently getting married to him. YEAH!!! Feel bad for the kids, she has 4, 2 of which are my step kids. Oh yeah and the new house is almost 20 miles away. And she signed them up for Gymnastics that she has been promising them for almost 2 years (good thing), but I have to take them when they are with us (every weekend lately). One is at the butt crack of dawn...The other is right before dinner! Why can't anything be less than difficult.
I sure am glad my ex off'd when he did: that way I don't have to deal with his b.s. as well.
So lets go thru the week's schedule: Sunday: Church, Monday: church, Tuesday: Free day, Wednesday: Boy Scouts, Thursday: Free day, Friday: Girl Scouts, Saturday: Gymnastics 2 different times!
Oh yeah...And I work out of the home full time from 8-5 Monday thru Friday. I am a girl scout leader and I fill in for my husband who is a boy scout leader. And one more thing, my hubby is an over the road truck driver! As though I don't have enough to do.
I guess it comes with having 6 kids but damn I need a vacation!!

Everyone wants money and it SUCKS!!
I guess in a round about way, it is good that he has been gone for going on 3 weeks. I miss him dearly, more than words can say. Bills...bills...and more bills. Then there DQ. MONEY...MONEY...MONEY.
BOY OH BOY DO I HATE EX'S
The point......
The sherrif's office was just here to serve and claim a warrent for superdaddy's arrest. For child support. Because she wants all of his arrearages paid up front...NOW. She took him to court knowing he would not be able to attend due to working out of town. Now there is a warrent. Of course it is the week of the holidays. Of course it is the end of the year. Of course we are broke as a joke.
Logically, the only thing we can ask is that his work keep him out of the state until we can pony up the cash. Not practical for him, I or the children, but that is an option.
Until then....Happy holidays out there in cyber land and Blessings to the new year!
